Wildlife Studies

WEA provides comprehensive wildlife research capabilities to obtain baseline and detailed information on the ecology, behavior, and adaptive requirements of species of special concern.  This information provides the foundation for assessing each species’ ecological status, adaptive resilience, and susceptibility to natural and / or human caused impacts. These studies are carefully tailored to specific project needs to efficiently provide requisite data and information needed for regulatory compliance and resource management decisions. WEA can design studies to measure as well as model species’ behavioral, physiological and ecological requirements, and adaptive constraints in both pre- and post-completion project environments.

Examples of wildlife studies services WEA can provide include:

  • Species distribution and abundance
  • Wildlife-habitat relationship analyses
  • GIS analysis of species area use and habitat preferences
  • Species behavior and habitat requirements
  • Physiological ecology requirements and constraints analysis
  • Climate change effects analysis
  • Noise impacts on wildlife
  • Bioacoustic requirements and constraints analysis
  • Adaptive capacity analysis
  • Species enhancement opportunities analysis
